【摘要】:ThechemicalcompositionoffreshFCCcatalystandequilibriumFCCcatalystisapredictorofcatalystperformance.TheanalysisofcatalystfinesalsoprovidesinformationontheperformanceoftheFCCunitandthefinescollectiondevice(s).ThechemicalcompositionofequilibriumFCCcatalystisameasureofthehazardousnatureortoxicityofthematerialforpurposesofdisposalorsecondaryuse.1.1Thisguidecoversseveralcomparableproceduresforthequantitativechemicalanalysisofupto29elementsinfluidcatalyticcracking(FCC)catalystbyX-rayfluorescencespectrometry(XRF).Additionalelementsmaybeadded.1.2ThisguideisapplicabletofreshFCCcatalyst,equilibriumFCCcatalyst,spentFCCcatalyst,andFCCcatalystfines.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3.1Theunitsofppm(mg/kg)areusedinsteadofwt%inTablesX2.3-X2.5forreportingconcentrationofcertainelementsbecauseofindustryconventionandbecausemostoftheseelementsarepresentattracelevels.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.8.1AtestmethodexampleisprovidedfortheanalysisofnickelandvanadiuminequilibriumFCCcatalystusingeitherawavelengthoranenergy-dispersiveX-rayspectrometerandtestspecimenspreparedbythepressedpellettechnique.8.2Thistechniquecanbeextendedtootherelements.16.1AtestmethodexampleisprovidedfortheanalysisofnickelandvanadiuminequilibriumFCCcatalystusingeitherawavelengthoranenergy-dispersiveX-rayspectrometerandusingtestspecimenspreparedbythefusedbeadtechnique.

【摘要】:Thecrystallinityofpetroleumcoke,asreflectedbytheLcvalue,isageneralmeasureofqualityaffectingsuitabilityforenduseandisafunctionoftheheattreatment.Thecrystallitethicknessisusedtodeterminetheextentofsuchheattreatment,forexample,duringcalcination.ThevalueoftheLcdeterminedisnotaffectedbycokemicroporosityorthepresenceofforeign,non-crystallinematerialssuchasdedustoil.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthemeancrystallitethicknessofarepresentative,pulverizedsampleofcalcinedpetroleumcokebyinterpretationofaX-raydiffractionpatternproducedthroughconventionalX-rayscanningtechniques.1.2Calcinedpetroleumcokecontainscrystallitesofdifferentthicknesses.ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheaveragethicknessofallcrystallitesinthesamplebyempiricalinterpretationoftheX-raydiffractionpattern.Thecrystallitediameter(La)isnotdeterminedbythistestmethod.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSI(metric)unitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
