【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestheEuropeanStandardstowhichproductshavetoconforminordertosupporttheclaimsformicrobicidalactivitywhicharereferredtointhisstandard.ThisEuropeanStandardalsospecifiesthetermsanddefinitionswhichareusedintwoormoreoftheEuropeanStandards.Itisapplicabletoproductsforwhichactivityisclaimedagainstthefollowingmicro-organisms;vegetativebacteria,bacterialspores,fungi,fungalsporesandviruses.Itisintendedto:a)enablemanufacturersofproductstoselecttheappropriatestandardstobeusedinordertoprovidedatawhichsupporttheirclaimsforaspecificproduct;b)enableusersoftheproducttoassesstheinformationprovidedbythemanufacturerinrelationtotheuseforwhichtheyintendtousetheproduct;?c)assistcompetentbodiesinassessingclaimsmadebythemanufacturerorpersonresponsibleforplacingtheproductonthemarket.Itisapplicabletoproductstobeusedintheareaofhumanmedicine,theveterinaryareaandinfood,industrial,domesticandinstitutionalareas.Intheareaofhumanmedicineitisapplicabletochemicaldisinfectantsandantisepticstobeusedinareasandsituationswheredisinfectionorantisepsisaremedicallyindicated.Suchindicationsoccurinpatientcare:—inhospitals,incommunitymedicalfacilitiesanddentalinstitutions,—inclinicsofschools,ofkindergartensandofnursinghomesandmayalsooccurintheworkplaceandinthehome.Itmayalsoincludeservicessuchasinlaundriesandkitchenssupplyingproductsdirectlyforthepatient.Intheveterinaryareaitisapplicabletochemicaldisinfectantsandantisepticstobeusedintheareasofbreeding,husbandry,production,transportanddisposalofanimals.Itisnotapplicabletochemicaldisinfectantsusedinthefoodchainfollowingdeathandentrytotheprocessingindustry.Infood,industrial,domesticandinstitutionalareasitisapplicabletochemicaldisinfectantsandantisepticstobeusedinprocessing,distributionandretailingoffoodofanimalorvegetableorigin.Itisalsoapplicabletoproductsforallpublicareaswheredisinfectionisnotmedicallyindicated(homes,catering,schools,nurseries,transports,hotels,officesetc.)andproductsusedinpackaging,biotechnology,pharmaceutical,cosmeticetc.industries.ThisEuropeanStandardisalsoapplicabletoproductsforwhichnoparticularareaofapplicationisspecified(e.g.activesubstancesunderdevelopment).TheEuropeanStandarddoesnotrefertomethodsfortestingthetoxicologicalandecotoxicologicalpropertiesofproducts.
