【摘要】:ISO8462specifiesthecharacteristicsofatapecartridgeloadedwithmagnetictape6,30mm(0.25in)wideintendedfordigitalrecordingatphysicalrecordingdensitiesof252ftpmm(6400ftpi)and394ftpmm(10000ftpi).ISO8462/1specifiesthemechanical,physicalandmagneticpropertiesofa6,30mm(0.25in)widemagnetictapecartridgeandmethodsfortestingthesurfacequalityofthetape.Italsospecifiestheenvironmentalconditionsunderwhichthecar-tridgeshallbetestedandoperated,andrecommendscondi-tionsforstorage.ThispartofISO8462specifiesarecordingmethodandadataformatintendedforuseinthestreamingmodeofoperation.Twoalternativetrackformatsarespecified:—a4-trackformat,and—a9-trackformat.ISO8462/1andISO8462/2provideforthephysicalinter-changeofcartridgesbetweendataprocessingsystems,andspecifyadataformat.Alabellingstandardfortapecartridgesusedinthestreamingmodeisunderstudy.Theavailabilityofsuchalabellingstandardwillprovideforfulldatainterchangebetweendataprocessingsystems.NOTE—NumericvaluesintheSIand/orImperialmeasurementsysteminthispartofISO8462mayhavebeenroundedoffandthereforeareconsistentwith,butnotexactlyequalto,eachother.Eithersystemmaybeused,butthetwoshouldbeneitherintermixednorreconverted.TheoriginaldesignwasmadeusingtheImperialmeasurementsystem.
